What's The Difference?

The Barcelona sauna is a very popular choice; so popular that Golden Designs has subdivided the Barcelona sauna model into 4 slightly different variations. While the vast majority of the sauna will remain the same across all 4 Barcelona sauna models within this series, there are a few key differences. We hope outlining these key differences will further assist you in your sauna decision-making process. • Key Difference #1: 2 models have a darker finish that uses Natural Canadian Hemlock wood while the other 2 models will also use Natural Canadian Hemlock however with a lighter Honey Blonde Finish. There is no benefit to the standard finish compared to the Honey Blonde Finish, it's simply your own preference. On the subject of preference, some people are looking for a wood with a unique scent; if this sounds like you, it's recommended to pick a sauna with Canadian Red Cedar wood. It is worth noting saunas using Red Cedar wood will come with a higher price and that all Golden Designs saunas are made to be hyperallergic using either Canadian Hemlock or Canadian Red Cedar wood.
  
  
• Key Difference #2: in terms of functionality, price, and overall experience, the biggest difference between the models will be the EMF class. *If you're not familiar with EMF, we've provided details for you at the bottom of this page. Golden Designs breaks down their infrared saunas into 3 different EMF classes:
  
• Low EMF infrared saunas
• Ultra Low EMF infrared saunas
• Near-Zero EMF infrared saunas
  

 *Electromotive force (EMF) is equal to the terminal potential difference when no current flows. EMF and terminal potential difference (V) are both measured in volts, however, they are not the same thing. EMF (ϵ) is the amount of energy (E) provided by the battery to each coulomb of charge (Q) passing through.
Common examples of devices producing EMF are laptop computers, cell phones, solar cells, batteries, and generators.
