About 22 inches, it works great for a retrofit rain shower system.

My husband installed this yesterday. He was very cautious about leakage and we haven't had any problems. He had to buy a special drill bit to drill the tile but he got it done and it's wonderful. I was skeptical about how far up the rain head is (I can't even reach to adjust it!) but it is just lovely in use.
Not sure how this can’t be a five star product. I have never had a shower experience like this one. Even those fancy hotels don’t compare to this showerhead. We did have somebody professionally install however he said it wasn’t that difficult. He was done within 20 minutes. He said the most difficult part would be drilling into the tile if you don’t have the right tools. The rainfall was very heavy and the jets were very soothing. And the handheld worked perfectly With both settings. You can move the pole or tilt of the rain shower head in many different directions. The only thing and I mean only thing that I didn’t like was rain Showerheadwas made out of plastic versus a metal. However I can’t afford a $500 shower but now I feel like I have one.
The hight of the rain shower feed is high
I love the rain shower head! It has plenty of coverage and nice pressure. The hand held portion is held up by a very powerful magnet. Now what I don’t like. We didn’t get the two sided tape so we chose to screw mount it. I’m 5’6” and my shower spout is pretty high and that maybe why I don’t care for the shower jet portion of this shower. The water feels like sideways rain in the wind. The jetsget cooler and the back to warm.
I wanted to raise the shower head height and add a hand-held attachment. I also wanted a larger shower head so I didn't need to move left and right to get water on the left vs right shoulder. This PULSE unit fit the bill. I think the 11" x 4" shower head distributes the water better (over the body) than a round head. 2. 5 gpm flow is a huge plus compared to 1. 8 gpm. The "no drill" installation was easy. First, I used plenty of teflon tape on the pipe fitting that threaded into the existing female pipe fitting in the wall. Then I put a small piece of paper towel under the pipe fitting in the wall (more on this later). There's no need to disassemble to mounting plate from the flow manifold before installing. I cleaned the mounting plate surface and the shower tile surface with rubbing alcohol before applying the adhesive. I applied the adhesive (about 1/2 the tube) to the back side of the mounting plate and slide the manifold assembly over the double-o-ring fitting adapter in the wall, use a bubble level to make sure the assembly was level and pressed hard against the wall for about 1 minute. After drying for 48 hours, I finished the assembly and flowed water for about 1 minute. I took the manifold off the wall and checked the piece of paper towel I installed earlier. It was dry so no leaks in the wall!I put everything back together. Using it confidently knowing there isn't a leak in the wall. The AquaPower Spray doesn't really work for me. I think its because my mounting height is too high. I'm 5'-10" so it might be effective for someone that is 6' plus. The AquaPower does a good job of steaming up the shower though. Lots of plastic in this product. The only metal parts are the pipe fittings, overhead pipe and diverter valve. But the manifold is all plastic and the chrome covering on the manifold is plastic. The hand wand and shower head is plastic. The top surface of the 11" shower head isn't chromed covered. It's white plastic. Looks "cheap" but its mounted so high that no one will ever see it.
Great shower! Great value!
After reading the only few reviews for this shower system I decided to purchase it. . Most of the bad reviews are unfounded in my view except for the angling of the rainfall shower...I am a beginning DIY and it was not too difficult to install...first you must make sure to plumber tape as heavy as you can all metal connections to prevent leaking...The worst part of the install for mewas where you connect the shower head to the arm...it has a washer inside but for me it wasn't enough even with the plumbers tape, it still leaked. . so I added a washer which i had to make cause i couldn't find one to fit and added more plumbers tape and that stopped the leaked...My wife loves the shower because of all the ways you can shower...water pressure is good '2. 5 gpm'...We are probably going to put one in the guest bath.... Also I haven't seen anything on the market like it.... finally customer service is pretty good which helped methrough some of the issues...
I probably would have given this shower system at least 4 stars but sadly I've had to uninstal it after it ruined my drywall. Its a nice little unit that I did enjoy using. My only complaint was that it could use a little more flow and there's no easy way to modify it for that. The fatal flaw in my case however was that it always leaked from where the unit mounts to the wall. There's an adapter piece with 2 o-rings and the unit slides onto that and mounts to a plate. Since day 1 it has leaked from that connection. I should have uninstalled it sooner but it was only a little dribble. Then i noticed the unit starting to lean away from the wall and some bubbling behind the painted drywall and I knew i had serious trouble. You can't just simply uninstal the system either. You're forever going to have the mounting holes in your wall. Maybe on a tiled wall this would be OK. Or maybe if you add some extra grease to the orings to help seal them up better. But I would not reccomend this.
